My grandmothers could still endure the fact that I do not go to kindergarten, but when they found out that I would not go to school, their patience ran out. Throwing up their hands, they tried to reason with their parents, because “without school, she will grow up 1) unsocialized 2) notorious 3) illiterate 4) irresponsible 5) closed. But my parents stood firm, and I never went to school.
For two years I studied at home, and my mother tried to imitate school lessons in our kitchen. I even had a diary. We managed to complete the entire program in six months, and by the spring I was completely free.
However, the grandmothers continued to lament how much I had missed, and over time, the stories about white aprons, bows and cheerful classmates worked, and I asked for school, because it is "very interesting" there. Parents did not interfere. Having passed the exams for the third grade as an external student, I immediately moved to the fourth. I was 8 then.
A month later, I was ready to bite my elbows in annoyance. There was almost no free time. All of it was spent on homework and so-called "joint projects", from which I learned how to do all the work myself. Toys, books and paints were scattered about abandoned, and the piano keys were covered with a layer of dust. The joy of the white apron was overshadowed by the need to carry a heavy backpack on my back. In short, after a free and carefree life, I felt like a bird, locked in a cage.
Despite the excellent grades (I somehow even became the only excellent student in the class) and a really wonderful teacher, whom I still remember with fondness, I left school the next year. Time passed, I finished class after class, last year I passed the OGE. I passed the 10th grade program in six months, moved to the 11th ... And now I'm 14, and I'm waiting for my secondary education certificate.
In the next posts I will tell you more about what excites and sometimes frightens parents who decide to transfer their children to SB: socialization, motivation, organization of training and exams.
