the applicable sentence is deprivation of liberty for a term not exceeding six years.

Such amendments to the administrative code and the law on education were submitted for consideration to the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

The reasoning is this: there are no "really working mechanisms for protecting teachers." All Russian citizens have the right to protection of honor, dignity and physical integrity. But there are special cases in the legislation: in relation to the police on duty, in the zone of armed conflict, in the army. Locations where stress, danger and violence are on average higher than in normal life. Does this mean that they want the school to be considered a place of increased danger? Why not make similar amendments for children, then?
