In honor of the 100th anniversary of the brand, the British presented the concept of an electric car Bentley EXP 100 GT with acceleration from 0 to 100 km in 2.5 seconds and a power reserve of 700 km
British automaker Bentley Motors has decided to celebrate its 100th anniversary with the release of the Bentley EXP 100 GT electric car concept. The model is intended to show how premium electric cars of the Grand Tour class will look in 2035.
The design of the Bentley EXP 100 GT combines features of the brand's historic GTs with futuristic solutions that will be more appropriate decades later. The hull is 5.8 meters long and 2.4 meters wide with a panoramic roof made of aluminum and carbon fiber.
The two-meter wide doors rise vertically, which allows the driver and passenger to comfortably get to their seats (the model is two-seater, but if desired, it can be transformed into a three-seater). The interior uses luxury materials, including natural wood, leather, wool, fabric and crystal.
The concept is built on the new Next Generation Traction Drive platform with four electric motors that provide separate torque control at each wheel. The power of the installation is not named, but the total torque of 1500 Nm provides acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in just 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 300 km / h.
The developers promise that the next generation battery will provide 5 times higher energy density. This will allow you to travel from a single charge to 700 km and charge the battery to 80% capacity in just 15 minutes, with an electric car weighing no more than 1900 kg.
The branded Bentley Personal Assistant with AI satisfies all the needs of the driver and passengers (temperature, smell, music, shape of the seats, etc.) based on biometric indicators (heart rate, pressure, direction of gaze, etc.) up to what is capable take full control of the car.
The production version of the Bentley EXP 100 GT electric car is out of the question, so the first mass-produced Bentley electric car will be a four-door sports coupe based on the Porsche Taycan. In 2017, Bentley unveiled the EXP 12 Speed 6e electric roadster concept with wireless battery charging.
