DS 7 Crossback first look: an exclusive always comes in price - 3

Everything is cool except for one thing: this approach will not surprise a premium customer. But what will surely surprise you is the diamond-shaped chrome-plated interior decor reminiscent of diamonds, and the new incarnation of the branded seat upholstery in the style of a watch strap. And, of course, the B.R.M R180 watch, which spins when the car is started. It is these unique little things that the DS brand relies on.

 Exclusive is always in the price

 As you understood from the description above, the car turned out to be very difficult, but on the contrary - extremely interesting. Especially in our case, when the most powerful engine (turbodiesel, 180 hp, 400 Nm, 8-speed automatic transmission) and three top-level configurations were selected for Ukraine: Performance Line, So Chic, Sport Chic. Only the rechargeable hybrid DS 7 Crossback E-TENSE can be cooler: 300 hp. and four-wheel drive - it will reach Ukraine in 2020.

 But you have to pay for exclusiveness and originality. The minimum price for DS 7 Crossback is UAH 1.055 million. or $ 41,000 for the Performance Line: DS Active Scan Suspension, 2-zone "climate", 8-inch touchscreen display in the cabin, 12.3-inch display in the instrument cluster, Alcantara trim, DS Active LED Vision LED headlights, 18-inch wheels. The So Chic or Sport Chic options are more expensive - UAH 1.15 million. ($ 44 thousand) or UAH 1.27 million. ($ 49 thousand) respectively. Of course, in these configurations, you can get more equipment: a rear-view camera or all-round visibility, ventilation of the front seats, power seat adjustment with memory function, a 12-inch touchscreen display in the cabin, leather upholstery. But even for these options, the most interesting additional equipment is offered only for a surcharge: night vision system - UAH 37 thousand, Focal Electra audio - UAH 27 thousand, panoramic roof - UAH 29 thousand, mother-of-pearl paint - 22 thousand UAH. UAH, package "Security" (keeping in lane, adaptive cruise, adaptive high beam, etc.) - 17 thousand UAH. The maximum version will easily cost UAH 1.3 million.

 With such prices, DS 7 Crossback enters the territory of well-equipped BMW X1 and Lexus UX (I'll tell you soon), basic-mid-range versions of Audi Q5, Lexus NX, BMX X3. Yes, undoubtedly the DS 7 Crossback offers a stylish design, interesting suspension, good equipment. But is this enough to beat the competition, which gives all-wheel drive, the famous brand name, more powerful motors? And if the customer necessarily requires more power and four-wheel drive, how much will the DS 7 Crossback E-TENSE hybrid cost even more?
